ENJOY LOCAL LIVE THEATER IN VERMONT

There was a time when The Arts were what brought the community together. When dances and theater were widely attended so people could visit with friends and extended family. Here at Isham Family Farm, we want to keep those traditions alive for generations to come! That's why we host theater events and offer theater camps in our event barn. Come support your community theater and enjoy a night out with friends and family!

Our gates open 1 hour prior to the shows for picnicking and community connection time. In order to encourage more environmentally friendly habits, our trash policy is "Carry In/Carry Out" so please plan accordingly... or better yet, bring your food and drinks in reusable containers!

Vermont Repertory Theatre presents Shakespeare in Love

June 10–20, 2026 • Isham Barn Theatre, Williston, Vermont

This summer, the historic Isham Barn Theatre transforms into an Elizabethan playhouse as Vermont Repertory Theatre brings the beloved, Oscar‑winning story Shakespeare in Love to life on stage. Filled with romance, wit, and the chaotic magic of theatre-making, this production offers a joyful evening in one of Vermont’s most unique performance spaces.

About the Show

Young Will Shakespeare is out of ideas — until he meets Viola de Lesseps, a noblewoman who dreams of the stage. Their forbidden romance inspires one of the greatest love stories ever written. Adapted by Lee Hall from the screenplay by Tom Stoppard, this stage version blends comedy, drama, and music into a fast‑moving, heartfelt celebration of creativity.

Starring real-life Vermont theatre couple Connor Kendall and Merrill Cameron, the production is directed by Vermont Rep’s artistic team and staged exclusively at the Isham Barn Theatre.
