In the fall of 2010, Mike Isham undertook the enormous task of restoring the former dairy barn, an impressive 30 x 102′, 200-year-old, English-style timber-frame structure. Mike worked with contractors to jack up the entire barn, pour a new foundation and concrete footings, repair the timber frame, install new windows and doors, and re-side the building- using as much wood from the farm as possible.

Completed in 2012, the beautifully renovated 3,000 square-foot building is now available for community gatherings, special events, and weddings, for up to 175 people (read the Burlington Free Press article on the wedding barn). Smaller events can also be accommodated in the 30×40′ fully renovated 1850′s carriage barn.
The spacious interior of the barn and beautiful landscape outside makes for a unique Vermont wedding venue. Wedding ceremonies can be held in one of the barns, outside on the stone patio, or on the west side of the farm high on a hill beside a beautiful three-acre pond and mountain views. Check out the photo spread in Vermont Bride with pictures from our barn!
Isham Family Farm is happy to provide a list of recommended vendors for event and wedding services.
This year, 2014, is our first year doing weddings here on the farm so we are having them on a limited trial basis. I am going to see how this event fits in with the regular farm life here and how I can insure its a great experience. I wish to share the farm with the guests and work it out on a trial basis this first year. I wish it to be a positive experience for everyone involved and do not plan on doing this on a regular basis at this time. I wish to keep this special. I am sorry 2014 has been booked full.
I am going to hold off showing the farm and making any plans until the Fall of 2014. I’ll be happy to talk further this fall for events in 2015.
