Its been a long, cold winter and now that spring has sprung upon us I have the maple trees tapped and ready too go. Last week brought some warmer weather, vacuum pump was turned on and we collected enough sap to have our first boil ! Not enough to make any golden maple syrup yet, just enough to sweeten the pan and smell delicious. Looking at the weather forecast we may have maple syrup by the middle of the month or shortly after. We will be open on Maple Open House week-end, selling some of that pure Vermont Maple Gold. The public is always welcome to stop by the sugarhouse to visit when they see the tell tale sign of steam coming out of the cupola. Have a free sample and get a sweet facial of maple steam.
