We are now into the month of August and the raspberry picking is starting to slow down. Still several days of picking raspberries left but the blueberries are now prime picking. Lots of blueberries ripening with the recent rains. The chickens are doing a great job at pest control, following pickers around looking for dropping Japanese beetles. There are 4 varieties of blueberries so there should be several weeks of blueberry picking available. And 8 varieties of raspberries to hopefully extand raspberry picking into October. Open daily for berry picking from 7am until dusk.
Starting later in September we will be doing free wagon rides on the week-ends to one of the many pumpkin patches on the farm for pumpkin picking. Looking good right now for a large crop of huge pumpkins.. Check facebook page “Farm Isham” for the schedule of the wagon rides..
